…was the beautiful ex-church St Paul’s. Recreated as an art gallery, at least for the next year, it hosted the opening of an exhibition of ceramic and other art works as part of Artlands Bendigo. A feature was the stained glass window of the church itself. Some of it was so lovely (read – valuable?) that the church removed and sold it when the church was de-commissioned. Fortunately, a community-minded person bought it and donated it to the art gallery of South Australia. I failed to photograph it, but here instead is a nice shot of the interior wood from this historic (1854) venue. Many thanks to Pat, Deidre, Ray and their adorable dog, who is civilised enough to come to all the parties.
